Fresh from their successful tour of the US and Canada, AYB are ready to present the 2010 Annual Concert. Experience the pieces we took overseas with us as well as some other more serious works, including Verdi's La Forza Del Destino and Mozart's The Impresario Overture. Featuring Channel 10's Gorgi Coghlan (The Circle), the afternoon concert is sure to please!

There'll be plenty of exciting activities in and around Melbourne, so make the most of them and have yourselves a terrific Australia Day.
Christmas Parade Weekend!
We're getting right into the holiday spirit this weekend with a performance at the Myer Christmas Parade on Saturday and the Eastland Christmas Parade on Sunday.
Myer Christmas Parade
See the man in the red suit parading down Bourke St along with loads of quality performers (like AYB, of course!), celebrities, sporting legends and children's characters.
We're teaming up with Santa Claus again the very next day to bring the festivities to Eastland Shopping Centre while you do your early Christmas Shopping. Don't forget the kids because characters from Kung Fu Panda, Planet 51 and Alice in Wonderland will also make an appearance.
We're well and truly back into our marching season next week with another performance through the city in the Emirates Melbourne Cup Parade - an iconic event on the Spring Racing Carnival calendar.
Come and catch us marching down Swanston Street at 12:00pm, Monday 2nd November, as we're joined by champion horses, trainers and jockeys to build excitement for the following day's Emirates Melbourne Cup.
Show Parade
Victoria's largest and longest running annual public entertainment event, the Royal Melbourne Show, starts in just a week! You can catch us there as part of the Royal Show Parade along Grand Boulevard, featuring bands, horses, wagons, tractors, flag bearers and all kinds of animals.
The Show Parade runs daily from September 17th-27th, beginning at the Weekly Times Livestock Pavilion at 2pm.

The year 2009 marks the Australian Youth Band's 30th anniversary, and what better way to celebrate such a milestone than with a special 30th anniversary concert! You will be treated to 'the best of AYB' - our favourite pieces of all time - plus a fantastic line up of guest artists.
The concert will feature guest artist and critically acclaimed music theatre performer, Donald Cant. Donald is best known for his work as one of Australia's "Phantoms" from Phantom of the Opera.
Featured guests include the Victoria Police Pipe Band, Itchy Feet Pep Band, and the Sing Australia Choir of Camberwell. Details of the concert are as follows:

Just on 30 years ago, the Moomba Band was formed as part of Melbourne's Waterfest. Now, as the Australian Youth Band, we make our 30th anniversary performance... twice!

Swan Hill Australia Day Performance 2009
The Australian Youth Band, after a well-deserved break, have returned to the stage with their first performance of 2009 in Swan Hill. The band will enjoy a 3 day trip to the rural town of Victoria with an early morning performance at the 29th annual Swan Hill Australia Day Breakfast, Australia Day, January 26th.
AYB will be performing at the Geelong Carols By The Bay with guest artists Denis Walter and Gorgi Quill.
Rhonda Burchmore, Jordyn Griffin, Gossip, The Kazoos, Humphrey, and of course St Nick himself will also be entertaining the crowds. The evening will conclude with a fantastic display of fireworks over Corio Bay.

We got into the spirit at the 2008 Myer Christmas Parade! The Australian Youth Band took part in the CBD parade on Saturday 15th November, which is always a big hit.
AYB also performed in Ringwood at Eastland's annual Christmas
parade on Sunday 16 November.
