The Australian Youth Band is proud to hold the title of the premier youth marching/concert band in Melbourne and Victoria. We perform regularly at popular regional festivals, major sporting events, marching band festivals, and corporate functions. The music we perform covers a wide variety of styles, ranging from exciting marching items to contemporary vocal numbers, and from popular show tunes to more serious symphonic works.

The Marching Band

AYB performs as a fully-equipped American-style marching band in parades, tattoos, ceremonies and marching band competitions. We are usually seen marching in the warmer months of the year (October - April). Some of the events at which we have performed as a marching band include:

As a concert band, we are requested to provide musical support for events, and in some cases provide the feature attraction. These events have included:

The Drumline
