Becoming a member of the Australian Youth Band helps support our organisation with its goals to provide a range of educational and inspirational musical experiences to young Australians.
There are a number of ways you can join.
Join the Band
If you are aged between 13 and 25 and play a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument, please visit this page for more details on how to join us making music.

Join the Association
Association membership costs just $50 per annum, payable on 1 July each year. Association members receive band newsletters, regular band announcements, Committee notices and minutes, voting rights at Annual General Meetings and prime access to AYB concert tickets. Annual Association membership contributions are a vital source of income for the Band, to cover our continuing running costs and allow us to seek greater opportunities for our young musicians.
Parents of new members are particularly encouraged to join the Association. Please note that all applications must be proposed and seconded by current Association members. All applications will be submitted to the Committee for approval. For further information, contact
